Setup
Click on the top right button or scroll down to the bottom of the side menu and click on the Sign Up/Register button.
Fill in the pre-made template with your details (username, email and password) and click Sign Up
Once logged in, finish setting up your profile with a profile photo, cover photo and additional details required in the template provided.
Our platform has 4 main segments which are Vintage Art Shop, Community, Events and Knowledge Archives.

Community
Create or join group discussions on a wide range of topics that are relatable to black and indigenous communities around the world.

Vintage Art Shop
Our vintage art shop is a patriot’s dream. We make high quality prints and posters in A1,A2 and A3 sizes. There are 4 categories: Stamp Posters, Digital Art Posters, Vintage Travel Posters and Quote Posters & Accessories.

Events
We hold events often, you’re welcome to join. You can catch our online events on Blackscribes Live an equivalent to Zoom or Skype here on our website ( more details in events section)
Some events may be 3rd Party hosted. A link will take you to the event host’s website.
Knowledge Archives
Our knowledge archive is a portal where historic documents can be viewed and shared. As black and indigenous communities we value our history and want to make it easily accessible to the community.
As a user you can add your own documents and add to our archives for the community. Visit our knowledge archives here.

The earliest delivery time is 4-6 days for all international orders (options available on checkout).
We generally do not accept refunds unless there are obvious defects within the print itself for example and error in printing, splatter of printing ink within the print itself.
We check all prints and posters before packaging and shipping to ensure the best quality control.
In the event we send the wrong items (ie. wrong country or a different subject to the original that you chose) we will issue a refund to you no questions asked.
Please allow 48- 72 hours for processing the refund.
We make prints/posters in sizes A1 (59.4 x 84.1 cm), A2 (42 x 59.4cm) and A3 (29.7 x 42cm).
Here is an example of how all three sizes vary:
We create stamp prints using top printing resources and professional photo editing software to archive the end product which has sharp resolution, vivid colour and quality finish.
Just like the original stamp except bigger and you can hang it on your wall!
We print between in 190 to 210gsm. A robust quality matter paper that is resistant to discolouration and lasts for decades.
All of our posters are designed for framing and wall hanging.
Keep safe from fire and any objects that may drop on it and create stains or discolouration.
The most popular size is A2. Its large enough to add to a feature wall and small enough to fit into any space.

Community Access
Click on the left menu and scroll down to The Hangout. Select ‘Community’ and join a group to join in the conversation or follow the threads.
Intellectual Property
Blackscribes reserves rights to all products on blackscribes.com. You may not use any content or products as your own without our consent.
Bullying and harassing other members of the forum is not allowed.
We strive to be a safe community for all users. Communication with respect to other users is paramount.
Racism and colorism towards black/melanated people in any capacity is not allowed.
As a community of melanated people we won’t tolerate racism towards the community in any capacity whether by post, images, jokes, comments and any other medium.
Content that incites hatred or promotes violence against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, or xesual orientation/gender identity is prohibited. The use of slurs (n i g g a included), graphic images, racist/ethnic stereotypes and inflammatory comments are not allowed.
Digital blackface is not acceptable.
We need not explain how offensive and dishonest digital blackface is. Any account with digital blackface will be terminated effective immediately.
Trying to circumvent the “no slurs” rule by using hurtful stereotypes is not allowed whether by post, photo/video uploads or profile photo.
Any trolling or racist account and profiles will also be deleted without notice
Search before you post.
If your subject is already posted, contribute to the existing post instead of creating a new one.
Post in the right group/category
Don’t post advertising, promotional, referral codes and URLs, or discount codes. Don’t create posts advertising your services or merchandise unless a group explicitly permits it.
If you don’t find a group that permits business promo you can create a group solely for that purpose.
Attacks on Blackscribes
Derogatory posts created to disparage Blackscribes, the guidelines or the moderating will be closed without comment. If you continue with these types of posts or comments after we have closed the post you will be permanently banned from the website. If you have an issue with the website you can respectfully discuss it in Member’s Questions group or email us at [email protected]
Privacy
Doxxing breaks our Privacy Terms & Conditions. It is prohibited.This includes photos, name, address, phone number, place of employment, Twitter profiles, Facebook, Tik Tok etc. This also includes sharing info via PMs, visitor messages, or rep comments. You must have permission to re-post any photo that has been previously posted.
Publishing personal information about a third party (someone who is not a Blackscribes user) is not allowed. This includes physical addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.
Vulgar Content
Vulgar content ( e.g. nudity, pornography, xesually gratifying content or photographs, gifs or videos) is not allowed on Blackscribes under any circumstances. Cultural attire (for example an exposed chest of an indigenous female in traditional clothing) are an exception.
Any health advice including pregnancy, childbirth, or family planning is not allowed. Blackscribes is not liable for any repercussions or damages that may incur if posts are made or actions are taken to follow advice on this website.
Additional Prohibited Actions
Hacking is not allowed and will result in legal measures taken against the perpetrator.
Gambling is not allowed on this website.
Sale or obtaining illicit and prescription drugs is not allowed on this website.
Sale of alcohol is not allowed on this website.
Sale of tobacco is not allowed on this website.
Sale or obtaining of weapons is not allowed on this website.
Post Banning
A moderator or the admin will ban you from participating in a discussion for any of the following reasons:
- Creating off topic posts for the sole purpose of derailing the conversation.
- Launching personal attacks against other users in the post.
- Posting that any of the participants are on your blocked list.
- Creating posts that say nothing more than “subscribed”; or “here”; or something similar.
- Telling us that you didn’t read the original post.
- Telling us that you didn’t read the guidelines.
Once you have registered and have a personal profile you can access the options to create, upload or view more documents.
Go to the left side menu and click on Knowledge Archives, click the button ‘Create A Doc’
If you’d like to join a group visit the Community section in the side menu and click on Groups. Browse and click ‘Join Group’ on the group you want to participate in.
If you’d like to create a group scroll to the top of Groups page and click ‘Create A Group’. Choose a name and fill in the description. Upload a profile photo and cover photo that reflex your group’s message. Additional options may be required. Finish by clicking ‘Create Group’ and invite other users or share your page on social media
It is your responsibility to moderate all activity in your group. We do reserve the right to restrict or delete groups that violate the terms and conditions of the platform.
